2001/2002: Senior QA Consultant – JPMorganChase, New York, NY
- Brought in to revamp QA process flow for tracking code changes to
Vendor product ‘Global Plus’ from Sungard, an asset management and
accounting platform. Changes included defects, enhancements and Code Files
both internally and at Sungard, for production & conversion
purposes.
- The process was evaluated, key individuals in the process consulted
and a detailed spec. created. Tracking software was evaluated and then I
recommended and implemented Mercury Interactive’s TestDirector
- Conversion involved importing all defects and building consensus for
and implementing a customized platform for all interested parties to enter a
variety of information related to Production/Conversion Defects/Enhancements
& Code Files
- The new process to track enhancements allowed management for the
first time to base decisions and priorities on Cost/Benefit analyses
- Currently our implementation of TestDirector uses 20 concurrent
licenses with around 50 users in multiple locations with a view to
significant expansion.
- Wrote Documentation including an Installation and User guide,
customized training presentations, technical specifications customizing
TestDirector to our project, input forms for business users and various
ancilliary maintenance documents
- Duties included Consensus Building, Administration for the project,
Troubleshooting and recommendations for implementing new features and
expanding the original scope to take advantage of available Metrics. Website
links to all documentation were also created and maintained to the overall
project website.
- Evaluation & Customization allowed Reports to be created with
minimal effort by anyone with access to the system. The creation and
analysis of weekly metrics allowed us to identify chokepoints and more
efficiently manage all issues, targeting critical ones.
1999/2001: - QA Engineer – Plural (formerly Blackberry Technologies),
NYC
- Brought in to Create QA Policies/Procedures/Documentation.
Items created/developed ranged from overall QA Process with Entrance/Exit
criteria to Departmental Project Plan and functional test plans
- Oversaw testing from clients ranging from B2C e-commerce/content (Lego) to Wall Street Investment Banking (CSFB -- formerly DLJ). Applications were
2 or 3 tier Intranet/extranet using SQL Server databases (6.5 & 7.0)
- Lego project involved creating
testing framework for major international e-commerce/content launch.
A QA lab was set-up according to specs and responsibility was taken for
coordinating test builds from multiple locations and vendors.
Testing was performed on multiple browsers, languages, currencies and
international laws.
- Headed QA for DLJ e-marketplace project involving family of
applications dealing with M&A internally & externally.
Responsibilities included creation of test plans and performing testing on
multiple browsers & OS.
1998:

- Analyst responsible for identifying Euro Impact/Y2K for several
Back-office applications, then testing solutions
- Responsibilities included developing Impact Analysis, interfacing
with software vendors as needed, working with users to develop testing
scenarios and obtaining signoffs from all parties involved including senior
management
- Applications included Settlement reports, Accounting/General Ledger
reports, Multicurrency loan applications and all-purpose backoffice trade
processing software that accepted multiple financial instruments
1998: Senior QA Consultant - EBS Dealing Resources, Parsippany,
NJ
- Responsible for revamping QA procedures to increase departmental
efficiency
- These projects included standardizing testing runs via detailed
documentation - Testing runs were reduced by over 50% from the initial
baseline
- Helped create an application testing tool, from specification through
to refinement and testing. The tool allowed the creation of large
amounts of financial data that was not possible before, thus allowing
increased flexibility in the laboratory setup, reducing project
timelines
- Developed automated scripts for PC/Unix Reflections - this
significantly reduced the time spent performing mundane tasks as well as
reducing the probability of errors
